# Creating Notification Rules


A notification rule defines when and how a notification appears to visitors.


Creating a New Rule


  • Navigate to Dashboard > Sites > [Your Site] > Notifications
  • Click Create Rule
  • Follow the setup wizard

  • Trigger Types


    Timer

    Show notification after a set time on page.

  • Example: After 5 seconds on page
  • Best for: Giving visitors time to read before showing offers

  • Scroll

    Show notification after scrolling a certain percentage.

  • Example: After scrolling 50% of the page
  • Best for: Engaging users who are actively reading

  • Exit Intent

    Show notification when user moves to leave the page.

  • Example: When mouse moves toward browser tab
  • Best for: Capturing attention before they leave

  • Date Countdown

    Show notification with countdown to a specific date.

  • Example: Countdown to Black Friday sale
  • Best for: Building anticipation for events

  • Manual

    Show notification via JavaScript trigger.

  • Example: After button click or form submission
  • Best for: Custom implementation and advanced use cases

  • Customization Options


    Content

  • Title (required)
  • Body text
  • Call-to-action button
  • Link URL

  • Style

  • Position (top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right)
  • Theme (light, dark, auto)

  • Targeting

  • Show to: All visitors, new visitors only, or returning visitors
  • Show once per session or multiple times
  • Start and end dates for time-limited campaigns

  • Publishing Rules


    After creating a rule:

  • Toggle Active to enable
  • Rules automatically appear on your published site
  • Track performance in the Analytics tab
